Summary
Become an effective manager by delivering the benefits of your programs and achieving the desired objectives. This training, which is very focused on practice and interaction, allows students to understand and apply best practices in program management according to the Project Management Institute (PMI) approach. With the help of a practical case, the participants work in teams, through the 5 groups of processes and benefit from the coaching of the trainer.
Course outline
- Definitions • The role of the program director
- Pre-start-up: feasibility/business case
- Start-up: program charter and roadmap
- Planning: program plan with the program breakdown structure (PWBS), schedule, budget, governance, benefits management
- Implementation, monitoring and control: project start-up, progress monitoring with performance indicators, progress reports and reporting
- Closing: post-mortem • Practical case study with exercises, workshops, simulations, role-plays
Approach and methodology
Participants will complete a series of exercises/workshops and benefit from personalized coaching from the trainer. In addition, the latter will provide all the necessary explanations in the form of lectures, exchanges and examples on real life cases.
Prerequisites
Project management (basic) or experience in project management or equivalent content
Recommendations
Have experience in project management.
